Dr. Rus is an author, pastor, broadcaster and movie reviewer. As his son says, “He’s a man with many hats.”With close to 30 years of mainstream media experience and 15 years of ministry experience, Dr. Rus taps into the power of communication, crossing mainstream and Christian boundaries, while at the same time, maintaining the integrity of the message.

With a personal vision statement of “Empowering and encouraging others to effect their sphere of influence,” Dr. Rus is passionate when it comes to finding messages of encouragement from everyday life. Just as Jesus used parables in His day to encourage people with a message of hope, Dr. Rus believes there are many parables in our modern day world which in turn encourage us along the journey.

When life was falling apart around them, God used the Prophet Jeremiah to encourage His people by declaring, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Those same words hold true for today, just as they did in the days of Jeremiah. We do not journey alone, we are Fellow Sojourners and can encourage one another along the way, knowing God always wants to provide us with…

“Hope for the Future”

There are many twists and turns along the way, as well as ups and downs. But, in the end, as we remain faithful and attentive to the little things in life, we may hear one day those wonderful words, “Well done My good and faithful servant. Come, enter into your rest.”

Remember, we’re called to be ‘faithful’ not ‘successful.‘
